Date of birth: 1965-09-11

Richard Melville Hall, better known as Moby, is an iconic figure in the world of American music. He rose to fame as a musician, producer, and one of the pioneers of the electronic music scene. His life began on September 11, 1965, in the New York City neighborhood of Harlem. Moby chose his pseudonym for a reason – it is associated with Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick, as the writer is a distant relative. Despite the fact that Moby is already 60 years old, his work remains energetic and in demand.

In the 1990s, Moby's career rapidly took off thanks to his unique style, which combined elements of electronic music, blues, gospel, and rock. The pinnacle of his success was the album "Play" (1999), which made history as the first album whose entire composition was used in advertising, films, and on television. Moby's famous tracks include "Porcelain," "Natural Blues," "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?", as well as "Extreme Ways," which became the soundtrack for the TV series "Dexter," and "Go," one of the first electronic hits on the charts.

Moby's personal life is closely intertwined with his beliefs: he is a vegan, actively protects animal rights, and supports environmental projects. In his youth, he held Christian views and even engaged in preaching, but over time, he moved away from organized religion, focusing on spiritual searches through music. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he runs his own vegan restaurant and continues to delight fans with concerts around the world. Tickets to Moby's performances are available on our website.
